As part of the global prayer movement Thy Kingdom Come 2022, hundreds of Christians across Australia will join together in an online prayer retreat – “Come Holy Spirit, Renew Your Church” – hosted by Anglican Renewal Network Australia (ARNA).
The five-week online retreat, free and open to all, will equip all those taking part to pray for personal and corporate renewal in the power of the Holy Spirit.
Beginning on Monday 30 May, the retreat will be available as a daily 10-minute podcast, published on all major podcast platforms. Audio and written versions and further study notes can also be downloaded from the ARNA web site: https://anglicanrenewal.network
Celebrating the 2022 Week of Prayer for Christian Unity, which in Australia falls at the same time as Thy Kingdom Come 2022, the focus of the first week of the retreat will be the prayer of Jesus for his disciples in John 17: “May they be one so that the world may believe”.
Bishop Ian Lambert, ARNA Co-Chair, said: “The retreat will assist all those taking part to understand more and pursue afresh this wonderful gift of God, the Holy Spirit. We encourage you to use this material in creative ways, personally and in small groups. Why don’t you commit to joining with members of ARNA and Christians around Australia during this Pentecost season, and pray for the renewal of God’s Church in this nation?”
Thy Kingdom Come is a global prayer movement that invites Christians around the world to pray for more people to come to know Jesus. What started in 2016 as an invitation from the Archbishops of Canterbury and York to the Church of England has grown into an international and ecumenical call to prayer: https://www.thykingdomcome.global
